ORER: App Update Tracker ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a developer tool designed to help you track App Store application versions, monitor updates, and manage release cadence. We are committed to:

• Minimizing data collection - We collect only what's necessary to provide our services
• Protecting your privacy - We use industry-standard security measures
• Transparency - We clearly explain what data we collect and why
• No Login Required - You can use the core features of the app without creating an account

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Device and Compatibility Data

What We Collect:

• A unique installation identifier to keep your tracked apps synced on your device
• Device platform (iOS version, device model) for compatibility purposes
• App version and build number for troubleshooting

What We DO NOT Collect:

• Email address, phone number, or names
• Social media credentials
• Password or authentication secrets
• IP addresses for identification or tracking purposes
• Billing or payment information (handled entirely by Apple)

2.2 App Usage and Tracking Data

What We Collect:

• Tracked Apps: List of App Store applications you choose to track (Bundle IDs, App IDs, app names)
• Notification Preferences: Your settings for "Stagnation Alerts"
• Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics via Firebase Analytics

2.3 Push Notification Token

What We Collect:

• Your device's Expo Push Token to send you alerts about new app version releases and stagnation notices.

How It's Used:

• The token does not contain personally identifiable information (PII).
• You can disable notifications at any time via device settings.

2.4 Subscription Data

What We Collect:

• Subscription status (Free or Pro)
• Purchase receipts from Apple (via RevenueCat) for validation

What We DO NOT Collect:

• Credit card numbers or billing addresses (handled entirely by Apple)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

1. Provide and Improve the App: Track App Store apps and send notifications.
2. Manage Subscriptions: Verify Pro status and unlock premium features.
3. Analyze and Optimize: Understand user interaction and fix bugs via anonymous analytics.
4. Communicate: Send push notifications related to tracked apps.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, selling to third parties, or any purpose unrelated to the core functionality of the App.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on the following legal grounds, in accordance with applicable data protection laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

4.1 Contractual Necessity

Processing necessary to provide the App's core services, including:

• Tracking App Store applications you add to your list
• Sending push notifications about version updates and stagnation alerts
• Managing your subscription status (Free or Pro)

4.2 Legitimate Interest

Processing necessary for our legitimate interests, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms:

• Maintaining and improving the App's functionality and performance
• Ensuring the security and integrity of our systems
• Analyzing anonymous usage patterns to improve user experience
• Preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use of the App

4.3 Consent

Where required by applicable law, we rely on your consent for:

• Sending push notifications (you can withdraw consent at any time via iOS Settings > Notifications > ORER)
• Processing anonymous analytics data via Firebase Analytics
• International transfer of data to servers outside your country of residence

You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

4.4 Legal Obligation

Processing necessary to comply with legal obligations, including:

• Responding to lawful requests from public authorities
• Complying with applicable tax, accounting, or reporting requirements related to subscription transactions
• Meeting data retention or deletion obligations under applicable law

4.5 GDPR-Specific Rights (EU/EEA)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you additionally have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restriction: Request restriction of processing
• Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests

Due to the anonymous nature of the App, some rights may be limited as we cannot verify your identity without additional information. You may exercise available rights through in-app features (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at support@orer.io.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Where Your Data Is Stored

• Database: Supabase (Cloud Infrastructure)
• Push Notifications: Expo (US-based service)
• Subscription Management: RevenueCat (US-based service)
• Analytics: Firebase (Google Cloud)

5.2 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security practices:

• Encryption in Transit: TLS/SSL for all data transmission.
• Encryption at Rest: Database is encrypted at rest.
• Privacy by Design: We avoid collecting PII wherever possible.
• Access Controls: Limited access to production infrastructure and data.

5.3 Security Disclaimer

5.4 Data Retention

• Active Data: Your tracking preferences, push notification tokens, and anonymous usage data are retained for as long as necessary to provide the App's services.
• Inactive Accounts: We periodically remove data associated with invalid push tokens or devices inactive for more than 365 days. Inactive or unused anonymous accounts may be deleted or anonymized to maintain system efficiency.
• Post-Deletion: Upon account deletion (via in-app Settings → Delete Account), your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

5.5 Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that may affect your data, we will:

• Investigate the breach promptly and take appropriate steps to mitigate any harm
• Notify affected users through in-app notifications or push notifications where practicable
• Report the breach to relevant authorities as required by applicable law

Due to the anonymous nature of the App, we may not be able to contact individual users directly in all cases. We will publish notices within the App and on our website where appropriate.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the App:

7. International Data Processing

Data collected through the App may be processed and stored on secure servers located outside your country of residence, including but not limited to the United States.

By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own. We ensure that appropriate technical and organizational safeguards are in place to protect your data regardless of where it is processed.

8. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personal information from children under 13. Because the App uses anonymous authentication, we cannot independently verify user ages. However:

• If we become aware that data has been collected from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it
• Parents or guardians who believe their child may be using the App should contact us at support@orer.io to request data deletion
• Users between 13 and 18 should use the App only with parental or guardian consent

9. Your Rights and Choices

Since the App does not require a login or collect personal identity data:

• Control: You have complete control over your tracked apps and notification settings within the App.
• Deletion: You can request the deletion of your anonymous user ID and associated data directly within the app via Settings > Delete Account. Alternatively, uninstalling the app stops local data collection.
• Opt-Out: You can manage notifications via iOS Settings > Notifications > ORER.
• Do Not Track: The App does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as it is a native mobile application that does not use web tracking technologies.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this policy
• For material changes, we will notify users through in-app notifications or push notifications
• Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy
